Guess who is out today?

The SUN is brightly shining outside! At first this morning I did not want to get out of bed, but I am glad that I did. I am so excited right now because I just found out some thing really cool and awesome. In class today Dr. Thomas was telling us the format to get an A on essay questions. So he put to questions on the board and as a class we discussed them. Then we went over our homework that was a case study thing. So here is the exciting thing. While we were going over our case study and problems with daycare and special need students and how most day cares in the Amarillo and Canyon area will not take the kids and if they do they charge extra. Well anyway he said that he was on a board that is trying to get a special needs daycare in Amarillo and hopefully one in Canyon. Now anyone that knows, knows me,knows that my ultimate career dream would be to own or at least help in the process of getting a special needs daycare for children in this area. So when he said that, I was like O wow, AWESOME. I looked at the girl next to me and said that is my dream. She goes really? I was like ya... Well I guess he seen me smile when he said that because I was just kind of in shock that some one is actually going to get it started anyways he asked me to stay after class. I didn't know why, so I did. Anyway after he dismissed the class, I stuck around and he goes can I ask you something and I said yes, and so he said why did your face light up so much when I said that we were trying to get a special needs day care going in our area. I said that is my dream to do. He said I had a feeling it was because of your reaction and everyone in class just kept writing notes and paying attention. I said I am very interested in something like this happening in the Amarillo- Canyon area. He said that right now they just got approved for a non profit organization and they are looking in to buildings and stuff but with in the next year they are going to want to start look for volunteers and possibly hiring. Anyway, he said that they are looking for students like me to attend meetings and also give input. So he asked me if I would. I said yes, I would be glad too. I just think it is an awesome thing to see something that I have dreamed about for a while to actually be taken place. I know that I am not the one building it or doing it right now, but it is just an awesome feeling that parents will have a place to take their special needs children in the next couple of years. I kind of think that it is a God thing, that he said something today because I would have never known that this was happening and the opportunity to be involved is awesome to even think about. So, yes I am brightly smiling still because I have this warm feeling in my heart. I can't think of much else to say because my mind is still in wow awesome mode and that is all I can think about for now. I need to reread over my physics stuff before I go to class... So I am off to find a quiet place to read and work on physic problems.
