Hello Summer!

It's been a while since my last update! We are now in to summer! So far it has been busy but great! Shawn's school went great, he got the second highest grade in the class. Only two people made A's. I am so proud. He got back on the 15Th but he had to go work Doggie Days ( a small fair) from 7pm to 1am. On Saturday the 16Th he had had to get up and go work the parade. Got home around 1:30 took a nap and then went and covered a shift from 6 pm to 6 am. Then Sunday for Father's Day we headed up to Atown around 2 to go spend a little time with my parents. Shawn had to work midnight to 6. He finally got his first day off in two weeks last Wednesday. I have just been busy keeping kids. I am keeping a total of 6 kids. But never all at once. I keep two boys all week long from 8 to 5. Then I have boy and a girl that I watch 2 to 3 days a week until about 2pm. And then a 3 month old girl and a 3 year old girl I watch Thursday and Friday from 3-5 and then every other Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 1.

Last Thursday Shawn and I took the older 4 kids to the water park. The weather was perfect! And since we went at noon it wasn't crowded. It started to pick up right as we were leaving at 2. In fact a couple of ladies walking in with a group of kids looked at us when we were walking out and said yall can't be done already. Shawn just said we have been here since noon and Wayne the oldest kid I watch said some people just can't mind their own. Shawn and I waited until we were a few steps further away before we laughed.

This morning we woke up to a St. Bernard in our backyard. So I called ACO but then she ended up needing Shawn's help because all the dog wanted to do was get on Minnie which would get Copper all riled up. And he wasn't the cutest dog ever in fact I found him rather gross! The slobber alone was disgusting. Apparently this dog gets out all the time because Shawn and the ACO know the dog by name. The puppies are doing great they turned 3 weeks old yesterday well I guess today also since two were born after midnight. I have a couple of pictures I took this morning. They were just up and moving around which made it kind of hard. I will try to go get some of them sleeping later.

This week is going to be a busy one. I am getting ready to go to Iowa on Friday. We have company coming in Wednesday or Thursday not sure yet. They will stay through the weekend with Shawn. So needless to say I don't know when I will be able to update again! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

A Little Irritated

Shawn left Sunday for his intoxilyzer class. I had a really hard night Sunday. I tried to tell myself that he was just working that night, but it wasn't helping. I can handle him working nights because I know if it comes down to it and I call him he can be here in 5 minutes tops, unless they have an unusual number of calls. Last night, my sister came and stayed with me and I slept fine, I don't know what it is about someone else being in the house that I feel safe? Anyway I am irritated because people are talking to me like I am stupid about the whole thing. I don't care if your spouse has taken many trips, or how many times you have stayed by yourself. These people are use to it and it just makes me mad that they look at me like I am dumb for being upset/uneasy about it. This is an all new experience to me, so don't tell me to get over it!I had a friend that said well he use to live in FL, well there is a difference there, we weren't married or living together and that was a few years ago!!!!!! Anyway, the kids are starting to wake up so I need to get off here. I have 6 today! A lady called me last night because her sitter canceled out on her. I didn't expect her 10yr old to bawl for 45 minutes at 6 this morning, but he has never met me, so I can kind of understand, but I thought maybe 5-10 minutes not 45.

SO

I realize I am not a mother and there are things that I look at and say to myself why is she doing that and what is she thinking?" and I know in the end I will probably end up doing a few of those things that I say I will never do!

The other day I was watching a new show on E! called sunset tans and I couldn't believe what I was watching! I found a clip on youtube for you to watch. This mom just makes me sick!!!! Trust me I may tan, but my daughter or son won't be tanning before class pictures because they look a little pale and I WILL NOT be paying that kind of money for it. Granted my landlord at the time gave me a discount because she owns the tanning place instead of paying 40.00 for 20 tans, I was able to pay 30.00 for 30 tans and I have 18 months to use them in. Do know how many tans I could buy for 1300 dollars? That would buy me a lifetime membership, but then again I don't tan that much. I have only used 5. 4 before I went to FL and one today. Anyway this is my vent, so what are your thoughts after watching the video?

This morning around 7:30 I got a phone call telling me I wouldn't have the kiddos today or tomorrow because their mom is working the evening shift. So I just went and crawled back in bed. Yea! 4 me!

Minnie had 5 puppies. Three yellow (2 boys and 1 girl) and Two black (1 girl and 1 boy). She is being a little bit nicer to Copper but she still won't let him go near those puppies! She seems to have all of her energy back. When Shawn was playing fetch with Copper she joined in and was playing.





The picture below is the graduation gift Shawn and I got Meghan. I ordered it from Sweet Pea Cakes etc. She has lots of neat cakes and awesome designs for all different occasions and she responded to all my questions and worked hard at fullfilling my requests. Her cake included: two bath towels, one hand towel, one wash cloth, one pink drawstring laundry bag, small bottle of tide, fabric softner, soap dish, bar of soap, travel size shampoo and conditioner, travel size pink toothbrush and tooth paste, travel size scope, and a pink sponge.

Well 4 of them have arrived so far. Luckily the guy Shawn was working for this weekend, went back to work today! Anyway around 11:30 Copper was barking like a mad dog at the back door. I looked out the window and saw Minnie with a puppy in her mouth. Shawn and I both put on our shoes and rushed out the back door. We then moved Minnie and all 3 puppies in to the garage. We had thunderstorms all evening long. So Minnie was soaked and muddy. An hour and a 1/2 later another puppy was born. So far 3 yellow and one black. Not sure of genders just yet. But I am off to bed because kiddos will start arriving around 7:30. So much for the vets due date! I am just glad that this isn't next week other wise it would just be me. Shawn is camped out with Minnie in the garage and Copper, well he is outside on a tie down. Don't worry he has cover in case it starts to rain again. Minnie showed her teeth to him when he came near her and the puppies. I will try and update more later on today!

We are Expecting!!!

PUPPIES, that is! Minnie should be delivering towards the end of June or beginning of July. I know it has been a while since I have updated! I just got busy with Meghan's graduation and other things. There are a few pictures from graduation and a video of Megs walking across the stage over on my aunt's blog! Last weekend was a blast, but I think it has taken me all week to recover!

We were suppose to go to one of Shawn's family reunions today, but he had to work last night and will mostly likely work tonight and tomorrow. Which will make a really long week for him. Next Sunday he leaves for his intoxilizer school and won't be back until Friday night. I think a friend of mine is going to come and stay with me. I hate staying by myself and I just hope that Minnie doesn't decide to deliver then. By the way everyone is getting early Christmas presents this year. :) j/k
