Case Closed

The mystery of our missing shoes is solved!! For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, Some how during our move we thought we misplaced over half of our shoes. Out of all of my pairs of sandals and flip flops I only had one flip flop, not even a pair. We thought maybe the bag they were put in was accidently thrown away or left at the apartment, We had no idea. But then while talking to my mom about it she said, "I thought I packed them in a tote bag." And so then Shawn and I came home and searched and went through all of the tote bags we have around here and finally, We found the bag at the top of a closet with his eagle stuff. I guess who ever put the bag up there thought it went with eagles. Maybe they didn't even look. For all I know, it could have been me that placed the bag there. So any ways, the case of the missing shoes has now been solved. By the way the picture of the shoes are not our missing shoes. I just wanted a picture to post and this is one of the first images that appeared on yahoo's image search. I don't think you will have to worry about seeing Shawn or I walking around in those shoes. Although, they are kind of cute in there own little (very little) way. Hope everyones day is going great! Tomorrow is Friday!! Posted by Hello

And the wacky poll results are in...

These results made me laugh everytime I checked them. They were always changing. Shawn and I are not planning on having children any time soon. I think we would rather have a little puppy dog first. Or at least I do. There were 19 yeses and if you combine the no's there is 53. Which makes it 26% to 74%. I have a feeling that people voted more than once on this thing. This is my first poll with 72 votes. That is just crazy azy.
And on to other news. It is nice out side today, but guess what is suppose to be coming in tomorrow? Snow. Now That is really Crazy Azy because then we go back up to the 60's - 70's on Friday and I believe this weekend is suppose to be in the upper 70's and 80's. I guess that is the Texas Panhandle weather for you. Not looking forward to tomorrow. Oh well, just one day is not that bad I guess.

Like my hat?

Glad that is over with

I think I just took the hardest essay test in my life so far. I hope and pray there are not any more like that one, but I doubt it. He gave us the essay questions last time, so I answered them and studied them. You would think that it would not be that hard, however, every one in the class was shocked when he went added more about what he had to get all of the points, today before the test. It was a good thing I studied over my hand outs again this morning instead of just going over what I typed up to study, because we had to have at least 3 statictics for each characteristic, examples of behavior for each characteristic along with how teachers should handle and address it in the classroom, and on top of that you had to list the research that shows the way you picked works. You are probably confused as can be. He gave us Susan a 4 year old preschool student, John a 9 year old 4th grade students, Paul a 12 year old 7th grade student, and Alice a 15 year old 11th grade student, and from there we had to list and explain all of the developmental characteristics (physical, social, emotional, and cognitive) Then we had to explain the impact on the classroom for each one and how teachers should handle and address each characteristic (along with research). Then after that we were suppose to discuss the characteristis of a student with learning disabilities with in the same age group. I think I did okay even with the extra added bombs. And that ladies and gentlemen was only the first question. The second one was the following are charteristics with students with learning disabilities discuss each, leaning plateau reaching in the 9th and 10th grade, exhibit poor social skills performance, they do not generalize, and they are passive learners. It was much easier than the first one. Pretty much common things to remember if you read and study like you are suppose to. I am glad that the objective test we took also is calculated in. I know I got a 100 on that.
Any how, I am glad that it is over with. It is nice out side. I do not have physics today. Yeppee!! I am trying to decide if I want to take some summer classes or not. I am also finishing picking fall classes. I think I am going to finish reading for my online class and then head home since I do not have physics.

Toodles!

Happy Monday All

I hope everyone's Monday is going good. Mine is. I was really busy at work and I have a lot of things I need to get done tonight. I have my essay test tomorrow and I am not prepared for it like I want to be, so I really need to buckle down and study. It is so nice outside today. Nearly 80 degrees, I think or maybe more. I love spring time, but I love summer time even more. I can't believe that it will be April on Friday! Boy, time flies by. Shawn and I are talking about getting a dog. I think having a dog will be great! But first we need to get a new back fence up. Which hopefully, I pray will be done with in the next couple of weeks if not this weekend, since the weather is going to be nice. Well I don't have much else to say and I need to get ready for curves. Maybe my work out will give me energy to study hard tonight. For some reason I am dragging today, but I am in a much better mood than Friday :).

Not a very positive post

It is Friday and it is payday, which I am happy about, but at the same time today is not the best day ever. I don't know how many of you listen to Dr. Laura, but I try to tune in to her while I am at work. This whole Teri Schiavo, thing is getting to me. This woman did nothing to be put in this type of pain. Who deserves to starve to death, hell they don't even starve to death the people on death row. I just hope and pray something happens soon. It is just so sad. Anyway, I liked the way dr. laura opened up her show today (actually lastnight's show that was aired this morning) so I went to her website and I found the opening to her show. Here it is:

I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger, and I do welcome you folks to this hour of the program. I’m going to start today discussing something very important that you’ve heard discussed almost 24 hours a day for weeks now…. Just have a few more days before my 19 ½year old son leaves for Special Forces training in the Army, and so we’ve been spending as much time together as we can. This morning we took about an hour walk to a breakfast place that is on the beach, close to where we live, and back, with the puppy, all talking, and the issue of Terri Schiavo came up. And my son said … “y’know, I don’t want to be left in that kind of condition if that happens to me, God forbid.” And I said, “Well, you need to make your decision clear on paper. Problem Tracy [sic] Schiavo had is that at 26, who imagines they’re going to have some kind of horrific cardiac event, end up on the floor with nobody around, and have their brain seriously damaged by a lack of oxygen. Who expects that? Then we have to rely on what people close to you say you said. But the problem with Terri is that we can say she has a right to death, I guess. I’m not in the euthanasia camp, you should know that right off the bat—I think every life has value. But what’s the issue of rights when it comes to Terri Schiavo’s situation doesn’t seem to be clarity. There’s no proof that she said she’d want to be terminated. We don’t know what her end-of-life wishes are, and there’s a big argument as to how aware she is. And to my mind, right off the top of my head, when you don’t have clarity as to whether somebody’s here or not, you assume here. Because to assume otherwise is to potentially eliminate a life. …... Evidently, there is evidence (for example, a sworn affidavit registered nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who worked at the Palm Garden of Largo Convalescent Center in Largo, Florida, while Terri Schiavo was a patient there). She testified that “throughout my time at Palm Gardens, Michael Schiavo was focused on Terri’s death. Michael would say, ‘When is she going to die? Has she died yet? When is that bitch gonna die?’ So, when people ask, what is his motivation for pulling the feeding tube out of her, I don’t know what it is. I honestly don’t know what it is. I have guesses, but they’re not very relevant. I haven’t spoken up about this before, because it’s been in the courts, and I haven’t seen that my rantings would have any value, any power. But I have an intent now. I’m speaking to her husband. The whole point of this opening is for her husband. I’d like to read just an inch of Michelle Malkin’s column today. She writes, “Meanwhile, contradicting the experience of every starved child in Africa and abandoned street animal at your SPCA shelter, the New York Times informs us (quote) ‘experts say ending feeding can lead to a gentle death’” I am horrified that the United States of America is permitting a woman to be starved to death when there is any question at all as to her sentience. The measure of a civilization is how we treat the weak, the dependent, the helpless, and the ill. Now, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed from the neck down. At first, I understand, he wanted to die, ‘cause he didn’t see his life of any value—not to his wife, not to his children, not to himself. And he discovered he was wrong. He could barely turn his head, and he was still there to love his wife, and love his children, and inspire other people facing great challenges, and he involved himself in stimulating research in the area of spinal injuries. His life had no utilitarian value, because he couldn’t move, he brought no happiness to his family? Terri Schiavo’s mother and father have spent 15 years trying to constantly interact with her when the husband would allow it. They want to spend the rest of their lives feeding her, talking to her, playing with her, loving her. Instead, the United States of America is standing by and doing something so cruel, not one of you would support doing that to a mass murderer. We always talk about making sure it’s not cruel and unusual punishment. This is cruel and unusual treatment. It is inhumane, it is barbaric to starve her to death. My opinion is her husband should pick up the phone within five seconds, call this off, put the tube back in, divorce her, let her parents be next of kin—they’re willing to sacrifice their lives, they’re willing to pay the expenses required to maintain her, and I’m sure that all of us would be willing to make some contributions. And if you go on my website at www.drlaura.com, we do link to them now, front and center on my website. Right now, since they’re not in charge of her well-being, the money is not going to her medical treatment, but it would be. Now, I have a living will. My living will says no extraordinary techniques should be used to maintain me. Y’know, it doesn’t say to torture me and starve me to death. This is grotesque, this is barbaric, this is mean, this is cruel. I have my own fantasies. My fantasies are that the husband is going to call up within five minutes, and put the tube back in, and let her go with her parents, and he can get on with his “shack-up” life and illegitimate kids, and the money he said he was going to put all toward her medical treatment and rehabilitation (which, evidently, didn’t go there) but he can get on with his life, they can get on with theirs, and maintaining what they believe is of value in hers. Look at the millions of people who are suddenly aware of these issues and of compassion. Her life has no value? Au contraire. The second thing is, you better never elect me Governor of the state, ‘cause I’ll tell you what I would do if I were Jeb Bush. I would go to my Secret Service, ask which of them agreed with me, and we would go to the hospice, put the tube back in, and surround the hospital, and say “you’re not killing somebody on my watch.” But he’s a law-abiding guy, and he’s not gonna do that. I, on the other hand, would do that. I would put my whole career on the line, if I had the power. I don’t have a Secret Service, I don’t run a state, I can’t do that. I can only beg the people who know Terri Schiavo’s husband to lean on him to let her go to her parents, and he can get on with his life. And he doesn’t have to live the rest of his life and die knowing that he tortured the woman he said he’s supposed to love by starving her to death for two weeks, under the assumption that that’s what she would want, and she feels nothing. I just want to remind you I started out life as a biologist. You can watch an amoeba under the microscope. It meanders its way into noxious chemicals or a pointy object, recoils, and goes some other way, and it doesn’t even have a nervous system, and it doesn’t have a brain. There are those of you out there who are upset when people walk on plants. Please. Everybody who knows Terri Schiavo’s husband, beg him to let her go--to her parents, the people who gave her life and want to sustain it. I’m a mother. All of you out there who are parents must be dying inside. I’m sick. I can’t believe this kind of cruelty can happen to somebody’s kid in America in 2005. I’m humiliated for my country, and my heart aches for the parents. I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger.

So that is one reason why my day was kind of crappy. I know I could have turned off talk radio, but at the same time I did not want too. I think it is also a bunch of crap about people saying that the republican party is just trying to do this for free publicity. Since when did a woman's life become a publicity stunt? Ugh... The world today.
A second reason of why today is kind of a down day is that is good friday. I just get to thinking about what Jesus was put through and I couldn't imagine going through that and the fact is that he did it for everyone! I think the other reason of why my day is just been blah is because it is the end of this week and this week hasn't exactly been the greatest. I would rather be back in Florida, with everyone again and with out all of the extra stuff.

So what do you think?

I was getting bored with the other template and it was starting to mess up, so I changed to this one. Well it is time for me to go to physics. I took off the comment board. I haven't decided if I want it back or not. Who knows that may be the next poll quesiton. :) Well let me know what you think. I have enabled the comments again.

Later!

Frustrated!

I went to class today after working really hard on my paper since Sunday, just to find out that he is making the paper due on April 7th now, along with the other paper. UGH can't he just make up his mind??? Anyway, I guess the good news is that I only have one more paper to write. I have an essay test in his class on Tuesday that I need to study for. I don't think it will be too bad. Shawn and I woke up this morning to find that the driver side window on the truck was broken. There wasn't any signs that some one had tried to break in. Shawn and I's guess is that the sun did it by reflecting off of a cd in the truck. Crazy Azy huh?? Any way not anything else to say. I need to eventually tell you all about the vacation. If you just have to hear how it went you can read the Crosby's blog for now. Well thats all.
Postive note: The sun is shinning and it is nice outside!

Guess Where I Am?

If you said Dallas, You are wrong!!!! Shawn and I are in Florida for the week. I would have told everyone except one of my number one readers wouldn't have been surprised. Shawn and I surprised, his mommy by coming to Florida. She had no idea. It was awesome. We left Thursday night and headed for Dallas. Then Friday afternoon we left with Nyki, Jeremy, and Rylee and headed on over to Tampa. It has been fun so far. Well thats all for now!

It really is test taking time now

So today I have my physics test, but I am not near as stressed out as I was. In case you did not know Stressing is not the best thing ever! Hmmm... I think the Bible tells us that except in other words. I wonder if that is why lots of people I know call it their guide to life. :)

Thats all for now!

NEVER MIND

So, I just went to go talk to my physics professor, and he told me that we will take the test on Thursday instead of today and that today will just be another review day. Apparently, I am not the only one that is not undertstanding somethings. I am glad that he decided to go back over it. So I do not think I will fail after all. OOOOOO WHAT A WONDERFULL DAY TODAY IS. AWWW I feel so relieved. Stress level just went down to slim to none! :) God is so great! God is so Good! Okay well since I am not worried about my physics test any more, I probably should log in to my online classes and see what is going on there.

Quick note: thanks to everyone that prayed for and with me this morning over this test. Just remember on Thursday too!

Toodles!

UGHHH

I hate test days!! But on a good note it is very nice out side. I think I will do okay on my physics test today. But at the same time, I am not so sure. O well, at least if I do horrible the lowest test grade gets dropped. That just means I have to do really well on the next two tests. Any way, I don't want to boar you with negativity. Well I am off to go study some more!! Another Positive note, we are closer to Friday which means closer to getting out of town!! :) Happy Tuesday All!!

A paper over spring break?

Okay so I am not happy right now. My special needs teacher just decided that he was going to make a paper be due Tuesday after spring break. I thought Spring Break was suppose to be time a way from school, hints break! I know that I am off work that week so that I should be able to get it done, however, it just bumms me out that I have to worry about a paper over the break. You are probably thinking well just do it this weekend, however that is a problem because he is not giving us the topic for the paper until next Thursday. Anyway, I am not going to let that ruin my day. It is a beautiful day outside. I hope we get out early in physics, I think we are just going to review for our test on Tuesday. I hope I do as good as I did on the first test.
I am also going to work out at curves this afternoon by myself since my mom has to attend a meeting tonight for work. I can't complain that much though, because I did miss on Monday, so she had to go by herself. It really isn't all that bad, it is just nice to have my mom there to talk to.
Lets see, what else has happened recently?
Oh yes, Yesterday my boss found out that I was going to put in my two week notice at the end of March beginning of April and she asked me to stay until the end of May. She told me they can't afford to loose me. It made me feel good, but I just with the whole department would change their negative attitudes. It would be a much happier place. Yesterday this lady I work with was in a grouchy mood and I was like "her name, turn your frown upside down" if looks could kill, I would not be here today. So I have been trying not to let everyone else's negative attitudes affect me any more. Who knows maybe I can make a difference.

I don't have much else to say, but maybe the following will brighten you day up. I received it all in an email. Enjoy!
