So far a great weekend.....

Shawn's eyes are okay. They looked so red and puffy on Friday. I don't know how he went to work, but by Saturday morning they were back to normal, and he was able to back in his contacts. Yesterday, while Shawn was at work, I hung out with my sister and my mom. We did a little bit of shopping. I also saw my grandma, since she stayed over there last night. Last night, Shawn and I went and saw, final destination 3. I was highly dissapointed. I would say just rent it. I watched the other two in theaters and this one didn't even make me scared. I did jump a couple of times when a person died. They did leave it open for a fourth but I don't know if I would go to the theater to watch a fourth. Shawn said it was okay, I think he just liked all the gore. Well anyway, I am going to go start on laundry. (FUN FUN)

Tomorrow is Friday, well in 30 minutes its Friday!!

So this week has been pretty good. I am all caught up in my online classes, actually I am a head in two of them. I am at home bored, waiting for Shawn to get home. Minnie is just a sleep on the livingroom floor. I tried to go to sleep, but then I heard a strange noise, so I got up and let Minnie out of her cage. I can't believe that in 14 days Shawn is graduating. It is sooooo crazy-azy how time flys. I don't have much planned for this weekend. I think Meghan and I are going to hang out. Can you believe that we didn't even see each other last weekend? It felt kind of weird because even if we don't hang out we still see each other. Sometime this weekend, I need to make it out to my Aunts house to see my Grandma. Oh, Shawn gets pepper sprayed (I think that is what it is called) tomorrow. His poor eyes. It makes me cringe just thinking about it. Well I don't have much else to write about! Have a great weekend!!!

Shawn just called me and said his graduation starts at 6 instead of 7. So now what am I suppose to do? I guess I am going to have to do what I don't want to do. Anyway, On March 4th, he goes to _____ to take a written and physical exam for their department. Only 2 more days till Friday!

Kind of cool news. It definately get to leave by 5 o'clock on the 10th. Hey I will take what I can get. I wish I could have the whole day off, but I am just tired of fighting right now. The only thing that bums me out is not being able to see Shawn. I think he is suppose to be there at 5:30. So anyway, Mom, I will probably be riding with you guys. If thats okay! Anyways, its Friday, its cold, its the weekend, its going to be a good day, its payday(Monday is a holiday), and its um your turn to come up with an its for today!

ps: Can you believe 20 days left for Shawn. Actually It seems alot less than that, but I guess that is because I really do not count the weekends! Anyway, I am soooo proud of my Husband! Lastnight, he made me laugh, because he said you are my number one cheerleader just out of the blue. It makes me smile just thinking about it. Can you tell I have tons of energy today? I hope it lasts all day!

Just Something to Make You Smile

I have received this joke several times through email and I got it again today. Everytime I read it, it makes me smile and laugh. It felt like I walked into a war zone when I arrived at work today. Things are now calmed down. Luckily I was just a witness but sometimes that is the most uncomfortable feeling. Anyway, I read this just now and it made me laugh and smile, once again. I don't know what kind of week or day you are all having, but maybe this will bring out a smile on your face.

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around,looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying,"Jesus is watching you."
He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you."Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot.
"Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you." !
The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?"
"Moses," replied the bird.
"Moses?" the burglar laughed.. "What kind of people would name a bird Moses?"
"The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler, Jesus."

So what do you think about background 1. I say very bright and makes you smile. Others may say my eyes my eyes and think they need a pair of sunglasses to read. LoL

What a fun weekend!

So this weekend was pretty fun filled. Saturday, I pretty much spent the day in Canyon with Meghan and her choir friends. They had Solo and Ensemble ( I think that is how it is spelled) at WTAMU. I got to go in the room with the judges and watch them sing. I guess it is a bonus, since Meghan has the choir teacher I had. So anyway, instead of standing around and waiting for two hours, Meghan, her friend, and I went to Feldman's Wrong Way Diner. If you have never been there you have to go! I found out they have a website http://www.feldmansdiner.com/ Anyway, after that, we went back and Meghan found out they received a One which means they are now going to State. So it looks like She is going to be taking a trip back to Austin. When Shawn got off work, we were going to go to the 7:00 service at Trinity, only we found out that now on Saturdays, they just have service at 5 instead of 7. So we headed over to Shawn's Aunt's house for Alisha's b-day dinner.

On Sunday, I ended up going back over there and then last night we fixed spaghetti and Alisha, her future sister in law, and I did home work. I think the guys watched tv. By the way, wasn't Grey's Anatomy awesome! Lastnight, Lil, Justin came and stayed the night. We spent the day, playing playstation, playing on the computer, and playing out side with Minnie. She is soooo great with kids. She didn't jump on him once. I was surprised! He even helped me do a little bit of house work. I let him keep all of the change he found. I miss hanging out with him. It was so much fun this last summer keeping him and his brother. So anyway, that was my busy weekend. Believe it or not, I even have my school work for this week done (I got it done lastnight). It feels great. I guess I could be really good and get next week's done early too! lol ya, right! My goal for this week is tooo convince my boss to let me off early March 10th. Since I can't have it off at all. She seriously thinks that it is not a problem to get off at 6:30 make it across town and watch Shawn graduate at 7. Yea right, it is a Friday and it is on Bell St. Hmmm... I think I will have the flu that day. I hate doing that but, my husband is a lot more important to me! In her eyes college graduation is not that important as a highschool graduation, I agree but I am so freaking proud of my husband and I am not going to miss it and it is a big deal to me. Some people just don't get it! Can you believe back in September I couldn't wait for this time to get here and it is nearly hear. It has been hard, but not as hard. I think things got better for us, when Shawn got the job at TootnTotum. Since he only works, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The only thing that bites, is trying to find a time to go to church. I think this Sunday he doesn't go in until 1 so, hopefully we can go together. I will probably still go with Autumn at 5 on Saturday though. I really enjoyed that service. So anyway, I am going to finish watching Seventh Heaven and then head off to bed! Wait a second I read on Twila's blog her assignment and I decided to post mine on here, but for now I only have one:

* I use to really care what everyone thought about me and once I even started becoming someone I wasn't just because I was trying to please this one person and I did not want to cause any kind of trouble,
but now I don't care and I know that I can't please everyone. I also learned that it is less stressful to be yourself than it is to try to be the person that someone else wants you to be.

Half way there

I can't believe it is Wednesday already. I have a 500 word response essay due tonight that I have not started on. However, I do have the reading done and I also have nap today, so it shouldn't be hard to get done by midnight. So this morning has been pretty busy. I went to get Minnie out of her, hmmm I don't want to say cage because that sounds cruel, so we will call it her bedroom :), this morning and she was making this awful coughing choking sound. I thought she swallowed a piece of her chewing bone. So, I called Shawn and then the vet. We were able to get in with in 5 minutes of arriving at the vets office. It turns out she was not choking. She has the early stages of what they call Kennel Cough and so he gave her a shot and sent us home with some kind of antibiotic, that she has to take twice a day. By the way, she did great at the vets office. She didnt even whine or bark when she was given a shot. The vet was actually surprised. We asked if she was pregnant. He said that he really doesn't believe in a dog taking a pregnancy test and they are not that accurate. He felt her stomach and said that he could possible feeling embryos but he wasn't going to say that it positively was. He told us to wait for about 3 weeks and we will have a definite answer just by looking at her. So.... We shall see I guess!

Sad Post

I am sorry to say, that Red is no longer with us. He died yesterday afternoon after being in a dog fight with the two pitts next door. He was a great dog!

quick post and I do mean quick!

Does anyone know of easy to do valentine crafts? I have searched online but haven't found anything that would be age appropriate for 5th graders. By the way, Minnie has now moved on to moving the cinderblocks out of the holes and getting out and the chicken wire does not work. We went to pets mart and got her a crate or whatever they are called. She spent most of lastnight in there.
