Anniversary surprise...
On the way to Ruby’s I told mom that I had talked to Ryan and that he was bringing two friends. She said, “What!?!”. I just responded, “Well they said they would pay for themselves.” I got off the phone and told Shawn, “I am sure Mom is giving Meghan and Dad an ear full and they are probably trying real hard not to laugh.” When they pulled in to the parking lot, I called Ryan and told him to head that way. Mom, dad, and Meghan get seated. Mom keeps looking out the window asking where he is at and I say he is on his way. We finally see him pull in to the parking lot, so Dad got Mom’s attention by showing her some text message. Then we get to talking and we sat at the entrance to another room off the main room, which was perfect because Ryan came in with his two “friends” on each arm. Dad says to Mom so do you like his two friend. I have never ever seen my mom so shocked before. She couldn’t talk there were just tears. Then she just kept saying, “Oh My Gosh!” and “How!” Nearly everyone at the table had tears. I told her that she was off work on Friday and it took everyone at the table telling her several times before she believed it. She went a head and called her boss to make sure it was okay and sure enough she is off today!
I had my camera on and I hit the off button when I was lifting it to take pictures, but I got a couple.

Not much...
So I really don’t have much to blog about. We had a great weekend. Saturday we decided we were going to clean out the laundry room/back bedroom. Something that was supposed to take an hour or two at most turned into a two day deal. We started Saturday afternoon and finished Sunday night. Ever happened to you? But the good news is our whole house is cleaned…. I guess we can call it late spring cleaning. I cleaned off a shelf that was full of cleaning supplies, moved it to the middle bedroom, and put the games on it.

Tonight we are going to Hays’ son’s last soccer game. Shawn is picking up over time the next couple of weeks for Click it or Ticket.
Hope you all are having a great week!

Do you know what this week is?
Sunday, was the first day of this year’s National Police Week, which honors Police Officer’s who have died in the line of duty along with showing support to the families of fallen officers. It is also a time to show support to active law enforcement. Here you can find a list of names that will be added to the memorial wall tonight during a candle light vigil. Here are pictures of last year’s memorial. National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day is on May 15th. A black band is worn over the badge to symbolize mourning for fallen officers. Also on Thursday you might notice that there are flags flying half-mast this is because President Bill Clinton signed Public Law 103-322, which says that the flag of the United States on all Government buildings be displayed at half-mast on May 15 for National Peace Officers' Memorial Day. This is what I am talking about!!! :)

I love the weekend!
This weekend went by too fast!
Friday night, I went with my parents to Ryan and Dad’s softball game. I haven’t been at all this season. When we got home, I tried to watch 27 dresses. I finished the movie, but I kept dozing through out it. Saturday morning, we got up early, and went to a town garage sale. We found some great finds. I got a chef plate and holder and a Chef hook deal (no idea what it is called). I planned on taking pictures, but I forgot to recharge my camera so it died on me Friday night. I will take pictures once I find a place for them. I also left my parents with an old toy box, which I didn’t realize my grandpa bought it for us kids, and then an end table that was in her living room. I am going to put it in our bedroom, so I have a place to put my books, instead of reaching across Shawn. Saturday afternoon, mom and I made a quick trip out to Petsmart and Payless. She got stuff for Teeka (Sp?, Ryan’s dog) and Rocky. We just had tried on different shoes at Payless. Then my parents and I went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. We actually had good service. The last few times I have been the service was not just bad but really bad. After dinner my parents took me to meet a friend who was in from
This week Shawn switches to days! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

My "summer" is here!!!
I finished my final last night with out any problems! I woke up at 4:30 this morning with Minnie going crazy. I realized someone was at the door. I have started taking two kids to school again. I guess their mom wrote down the wrong morning I couldn’t watch them. It worked out for her that I didn’t stay with my parents last night. With a little bit of arguing I got both kids to lie back down and I went and crawled back into bed. I went into a deep sleep. I didn’t even wake up when Shawn came home. I woke up at 7:05 when my phone alarm was going off. Woke the kids up, they got ready for school, and then played until it was time to leave. It was dark this morning because of storm clouds, so when I got home I got right back into bed for an hour. I left around 10:45 to go spend some time with Megs. We ate lunch at Schlotzsky’s. It was yummy. I love their broccoli and cheese soup! After that we headed to WT so I could use the rest of my print outs. I think I made the people in the HELC (the computer lab) really upset. Every semester we pay for 1500 print outs, I maybe used 200 and that was because I printed off all of Shawn’s online class stuff. I had a list of stuff that I wanted to print out for the summer and just for future use. I left with a balance of 700. My sister was also printing out stuff. There was a line and one of the printers jammed. I think they were happy when I logged out and left. I could feel the stares okay not only feel but when I turned around I saw them staring, but oh well!
After fun in the HELC it was time to go turn in my final and watch the last of the presentations. Our class time is from 4-6:40, but for finals it was moved back to 3. I got to class and there were 5 of us sitting there. Teacher walks in all 5 of us presented last time so she told us to hand in our finals. Then we waited 10 minutes and she said well I guess this is it. There are 22 of us enrolled in this class. A few of us said something about there possibly being a mix up on time and she said its not my problem, which she is right, but at the same time, my stomach just went up knowing that a lot of people were going to fail and possibly not even graduate. Half of that class is student teachers. On top of that, a friend in class found out before class that she made a few errors in her behavior analysis so she has to take an incomplete and start all over.
Then tonight, Shawn and I went to the Wednesday night Bible Study at the church we have been attending. I loved it. Shawn and I both know we have found a church for us. It is exciting especially after 2 years of living here.
So over all today has been a wonderful day despite a couple of things, but those things are beyond my control. My “summer” is here and I am excited!

I did a NoNo!
Saturday, I had it planned to finish my take home final, so I could use today and tomorrow to study for my biology final. That didn’t happen. Yesterday we went and watched Hays’ (a guy on Shawn’s shift) son Conner (4 yrs old) play soccer. It was one of the cutest and funniest things I have ever watched. We got there a few minutes after they started playing. Conner ran over and looked at me and in an angry tone said, “Where is Hubbard?”, I turned around and said right here, Conner pulled his neck all the way back, changed his voice, and said, “Hi Hubbard!”. Then he took off back on the field. It was too cute! After his game we went to go walk around Big R to see what other items they got in. They just opened a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t have their entire inventory in the last time we went. A store associate ended up giving us free coffee mugs and these things called screw heads. After that, we came home cleaned and did laundry. Kristen called around 3:30 and needed help on a presentation, she has to do for a class her job is sending her to. She came over and I helped her finish it. Hays and his wife called and invited us over to play Phase 10. So we headed over there around 8:30 and didn't leave until almost 2...
This morning we got up went to Sunday school and church. After church we came home changed, headed out for lunch, and went to the grocery store. We got home, unloaded all of the groceries, and I laid down for what was supposed to be an hour nap. Nope it turned in to a 3 hour nap, and one of those that I just can wake up from. I am hoping I can wake up soon so I can get this final done!
Shawn finished up his online classes this last Thursday. I am ready to be done this week! I am pretty much done after Tuesday! My final is at 11 so say a prayer for me J! Wednesday I just have to go to class and listen to presentations. Tuesday night, I am going to spend some time with my momma because I haven’t seen her in o about 3 weeks I think…which is entirely too long. Wednesday is going to be a MEGS and ME day. I will have to remember to bring my camera. Thursday, Shawn’s grandparents are coming up to play cards. This upcoming weekend will be Shawn’s last weekend to work nights. I am not sure he is ready to switch back, but I know I am!
My upcoming to dos after this week are:
- Plan each week that I have kids this summer. I have the trips planned, I just want to get the crafts and lunch menu planned.
- Work on a new header (email the pics you would like me to use) J
- Start on my reading list
Those are my main ones for now! Have a great week!!!
If you have time click on the graphic, it will take you to a great post on Waiting!
