Beautiful Weekend

We finally made it out to go paint balling. It ended up just being 3 of us, but that's okay because it was still lots of fun. I really didn't know what to expect, like how serious they would play and stuff..so I think it kind of worked out that it wasn't a big group. We went to this area Plum Creek to play. It is 15 to 20 minutes away. I had no clue we were this close to an area like that. The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful!

Hays (read number one) brought extra camo for me to put on. It got a little warm, because I had jeans under these heavy camo pants. This is me ready to go...wait can you even see me? j/k...

Shawn getting his paintball gun ready...

We basically played where one person goes in and hides then the other two go and try to find and shoot them before they get spotted and shot at. Except for the last scenario...I wasn't ready to go off and find my own hiding spot so Hays went with me.
Hays going and hiding for the first scenario. Everything was a scenario not a game :), not that I was corrected several times or anything.....

Shawn and I, on our way out to find Hays. Did you notice that some of the grass is taller than us. I have to admit, I was a little scared walking and crawling through it.

I got hit a couple of times. The first time on my middle finger on my left hand. My knuckle has this nice little bruise around it. The second time was on my thigh, except the paint ball didn't break, but there is purplish bruise there. I was kind of mad, I stood up and yelled hit only to find out that if it doesn't break then it doesn't count...so I gave up my spot. For the last "scenario" I got Shawn! He just got Hays and thought he was going to win, but I got him! It is kind of hard to see in the picture with his camo, but it is the yellow streak across the branch and over to the side. After I got him, I was completely out of CO2 in my tank. So we loaded up and headed home.

When we got home we showered and got ready to go to a cook out at Larry and Kristin's house. I watch their girls Bricelyn (11 mo old) and M'Kambrie (4 yrs old) on Mondays and Fridays. I haven't really talked to much about them, because I thought I should ask Kristin's permission to blog about them and to put pictures on here. She told me I could :).

When we got to their house, the girls were playing in their new sandbox, with pretty purple sand. So I snapped a few photos. BTW, Bricelyn now weights 15.3 lbs. Hopefully she will just continue to gain. After we got our hugs, B went straight back to the sandbox and M eventually joined us again.

This afternoon Shawn and I decided to go back out to Plum Creek and check out some of the trails. We stopped at Subway on the way out there and grabbed a late lunch/ early supper to eat out there. Minnie had a blast. We were the only people out there and it was so peaceful. We got out there around 3:00 today and left right before 7, while the sun was setting. Here is a picture of Minnie and Shawn on a hill they hiked up. I zoomed in so you could seem them.

I loved the weather the past two days. It was so nice to be outside and breathe the fresh air.

Another post...what?!?

Okay...this is sad....really really sad...but it is taking these guys a very long time to get their stuff together. A few have bailed, but the other two have been getting ready for over an hour. I thought we were going before noon. I am ready to go and have been since 9.

While waiting though, I have been browsing the world of digi scrappers. I came across this. I like it because it is fun, it takes my mind off things, I can save it and there is no mess to clean up, and I can buy a kit that will last forever or until I delete it. I get frustrated at times, but only because I am trying to learn something new. The biggest down fall for me...is that I say I am going to work on a layout for 10 minutes and then go back to studying...it will end up being 30 minutes. So now, I don't even bother opening up PSP until after I have studied and got my work done...you know what I should have done before :).

I made A's on all of the tests I have taken in the last two weeks. The one I was worried about in my Behavior Management class I got a 97. I knew or had the feeling I did good on it, but I didn't think it was that good. I feel bad for Shawn because his midterms for his online classes are the weekend we leave for our spring break trip. He works Friday and Saturday night then we are leave Sunday around noon. His tests open Friday at 8 am and close Sunday at midnight.

Wow..I just discovered spell check is working again :) Hope you all have a great weekend. I hope to get some great pictures of before and after today. That is if we ever get out there to play.

Two things...one I need help with

Can you see my header? Last night, I was on the phone with Courtney and her computer wasn't letting her see it. So I have no idea if it is just her computer or what....so can you see it?

The other thing....is wish me luck, I am going paintballing with Shawn and some of his work buddies....we will see how this goes! LOL I have been once before, but not with just a bunch of guys who play all the time! We had a pretty rain shower this morning, so it is going to be super muddy out there, but that's okay, because a little mud never hurt anybody.

1 down

My midterm this afternoon wasn't as hard as I thought. There was only one thing that I don't remember her going over or reading in the text, but I am hoping that my guess was right. I was able to spend 45 minutes studying for my biology test while others finished their midterms. Check out this website a friend and I played with it today inbetween classes on her laptop. Crazy what entertains us. LOL I am ready for tomorrow to be over with. I plan on coming home and taking a very long nap. I think I am still recooperating from everything last week and over the weekend. I finished the rest of my antibiotics this morning, so hopefully everything is clear when I go to the doctor next week. We will see!

Midterms.....

I HATE THEM!! LOL Today at 1, I have a midterm. When I leave my 4:00 class I will have 24 hrs to take a comprehensive check quiz over a couple of chapters (it is online).
Tomorrow morning, I have my biology midterm. I can barely understand my biology teacher. I have a love/hate thing with the microscope. First off looking through it gives me a headache. Then when I think I have what I am supposed to have focused he comes around, critiques, lectures me, and refocuses. So then once all that is done, I have to draw what ever I am looking at and most of the time it comes out not looking like it, but he checks it off, so I guess that is all that matters. Yesterday, I killed whatever we were looking. I have no idea how I did it. He just said, "The light like hammer, you smashed it, look over here". . So I had to go and look off my friends only to discover everyone had killed this thing. I am just glad this test is just over lecture. Anyway, that is where I will be for the next few days. I think there is a chance of an ice storm tonight/tomorrow. There is that 1% chance that I get out of my biology midterm for a few more days, but I won't depend on it. Tonight, I will be on the couch studying and watching Big Brother when it is on.
Oh I did my mini lesson on reptiles. It went great and I only got 2 points off because I didn’t expand on my teaching philosophy or something like that, but I am happy with my grade.

Anyway, have a great rest of the week!

My first hybrid project

It is a beginner level hybrid project. I needed a new prayer journal and when I saw this, I thought how awesome and decided I would create a front and back cover for it.
I purchased this workshop and used this Carousel Kit from Shabby Princess to create my front and back covers. I love the way it turned out. My pictures really do not do it justice. I think it is super cute and can't wait to begin writting away in it.

This is the front cover before printing.

Front cover after printing. The bottom part is still the green color and the ribbon part is still blue. I just couldn't get the camera to take a great picture of it. I tried with the flash and with out it. It is the same with the back. Also the verse is easy to read. I know it doesn't look like it with these pictures, but it is.

Back cover before printing.

Back cover on...

I have Big Brother After Dark on Showtime. No, I don't stay up and watch it, I usually ffwd through it in the morning when I am getting ready. Anyway, today Sharon was back in the house.... I was totally confused. But I just got on to Morty's and found out that Neil had to leave and he picked Sharon to take his place. Crazy! Oh and for those that watch BBAD what did you think about that first night? I couldn't believe BB didn't take away the alcohol. It was drama drama drama over something small if you ask me! Anyway thats all for now ta ta~

Awesome Weekend

Our friends, Shane and Courtney came into town for the weekend. On Friday, we met them and Courtney's parents at the Plaza for dinner. I hadn't eaten there before, but it was really really good! I even tried something new! I had Shrimp Enchilladas and they were delicious. After dinner we tagged along with Shane and Courtney to a friend of theirs' house, who just had a baby. The guys played Guitar Hero, while the girls gabbed! Here are a few pics from the night.

Here is Courtney and I on our way over to Tiffany and Fabian's house.

Braylen wanted to play Guitar Hero too! She ran into her bedroom and grabbed her guitar as soon as she saw them setting up the game.

8 day old Ashton...

Saturday morning, Shawn and I worked on homework and cleaned. Around 1 there was something interesting on tv so I sat down on my bed, the next thing I knew I woke up and it was 3. OOPS! lol We were suppose to go to a house warming party that night, but it got cancelled. We called my parents to see if they wanted to meet us at Buffalo Wild Wings. On their way, my sister called and said she wanted to go, so then I called my brother and invited him to come. It was a great time!

Mom and Dad

Ryan, Meghan, Mom, Dad, Me and Shawn

Shawn and I ended up catching the late showing to Fool's Gold. Its a great movie! There are a few cheesy parts, but over all we both liked it.
Shawn is working tonight, so I am studying and getting ready for my test and presentation on Wednesday. I need to come up with a mini lesson for biology. Any ideas? Grades 4th-6th. It has to be 15 to 20 minutes long with a hands on activity. I was going to do volcanoes, but the girl that presented on Thursday did that one, which meant I had to change my topic! My lesson is next Tuesday. Sorry if there are any spelling errors...spell check isn't wanting to work.
Have a great day!

Lovely Day

Today was a great day! After class this morning, my friend Iris took me out to lunch at Red Robin. I love that place! It was nice to catch up and hear how her wedding plans were coming along. She is getting married, April 5th to a wonderful guy named Phillip. We don't get to talk or see other very often, but when we do it is a blast! She is definitely a friend that I hold close to my heart.

Tonight, I plan on studying because this weekend is going to be a busy one! Some friends of ours are coming in from Houston and another friend is having a housewarming party, ! I plan on taking my camera with me, so hopefully I will remember to pull it out and snap a few photos!

Hope you have a fantastic Friday!

AHHHHH My head is too full!

Ever get like that....where you think your head is going to explode?? lol That is me tonight, after my Applied Behavior Analysis class. I understand it and think that it is very interesting... I just keep confusing myself with the terminology. Plus we just got thrown a whole lot of information. I guess I just need time to process it all. I will be studying it this weekend though, because we have a test over handouts and chapters 1-5. Anyway, hope you all had a lovely Wednesday!

Big Brother 9

Is just 6 days away!!! They have revealed the cast and have a tour of the house! My DVR is set! Anyone else excited?
