I can not believe this!

It is 10:30 I can not sleep at all! I have no idea why, but I am wide awake! You would think that waking up at 5:30 in the morning and not taking a nap all days would make me very tired, but yet I am still wide awake! UGH is all I have to say! I just got done reading the book Then Comes Marriage by Angela Hunt and Bill Myers. I think Lacy let me borrow it a long time ago and I just now got around to reading it. I started it, but I don't think I ever finished it. So I started it again around 7:00 tonight and I finished around 9:00. I recomend it to any one to read! Here is a few descriptions I have found.

Book Description:
The story of a young married couple's first major fight and separation--and ultimately their reconciliation. Told from both of their points of view, it explores how men and women must learn to appreciate, understand, and tolerate eachothers differences in order to make a marriage work.
From the Back Cover:
This idea of a romantic gift is a truck? Excuse me if I'm not thrilled to pieces. It's been exactly one year since Heather and Kurt Stone exchanged wedding vows. A photo collage? For crying out loud! She knew I was hoping for golf clubs!
They'd planned to celebrate. Instead, they're fighting. Not about the gifts they got-those are just added proof of what's become apparent with time: how little each person understands the other. How could this perfect match turn out so wrong?
As a furious Heather unloads her marital woes to her mother, a bewildered and resentful Kurt heads for the racquetball court to vent his frustration. Now the real issue emerges: Kurt is a man and Heather is a woman. How can two people wired so differently ever hope to become one flesh?
Or could the strength of their union lie in their very differences?
Best-selling authors Bill Myers and Angela Hunt spin a warm, humorous, and insightful tale of young matrimony. From both a man's and a woman's point of view, here is the rose of marital bliss, complete with thorns. As Heather and Kurt individually revisit the befores and afters of their wedding, they strengthen their commitment and begin to redefine their love in wiser, less selfish terms.
Their awakening to the realities of marriage and their coming to terms with each other's uniqueness are the story of every husband and wife. Lovingly crafted, Then Comes Marriage is a delightful novella filled with fond memories for seasoned couples, and wisdom and encouragement for newlyweds.

and the second one:

Heather didn’t care if she woke all of Pinehurst Drive with her wailing. All the neighbors had been at her wedding last year when Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Stone were born; it seemed only right that they should witness Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Stone’s dismal death.”

When Heather Irvin and Kurt Stone joined in matrimony one year before the present date, they thought marriage would be all roses. Idealistic and in love, they weren’t ready for the fall that was sure to come. Although she’d been warned by her co-workers that marriage was no fun, absolutely stupid and sure to fail, Heather did not believe them.
Then the morning of their first anniversary arrived.Sure they’d had small spats before, but this was the last straw! Heather handed Kurt a carefully made gift after preparing him breakfast in bed only to find out it wasn’t his thing. Then he leads her out to the garage, and Heather explodes. All Kurt cares about is himself! He hadn’t been thinking about her at all when he bought that stupid monster made of metal.
Kurt and Heather head their separate ways angrily. Heather to her parent’s, and Kurt on his morning run. For several hours, both try to focus on the bad qualities of the other, but as the day wears on into afternoon and evening, they know for a fact that they love each other. Can they make their marriage work?

Heather looks at her wedding pictures and remembers while her mother offers words of wisdom. Surrender. Submit. Love her husband selflessly again.
Meanwhile at home, Kurt watches their wedding video. As he listens to the pastor’s sermon about love, he realizes that he hasn’t loved Heather the way Christ loved the church. Love is more than a thrill, it’s a commitment, dying, unselfish act that will hold a marriage together.
On the eve of their darkest day, Heather and Kurt find hope, love and commitment once again.
More than just a novella, this book touches the heart and offers words of wisdom. Angela Hunt and Bill Myers make a successful team, each sharing how women and men feel.

If you need a boost to your marriage, pick this book up! Humorously written, it is neither partial to male or female, and it will probably get worn by the time you are done reading it over and over again.

Well I think I am going to go and try to get some sleep!

Skinnamarink

Hello All!! There isn't a whole lot going on here. It is actually sprinkling outside! I love it! The next couple of days should be wonderful weather wise. We will not get out of the 80's today and 70's tomorrow. That is what I call a summer time cold front! It will be nice. I feel sorry for everyone else that is topping out in to the 100's and higher! I love summer, but tempatures like that are just plain miserable if you ask me.
So you are probably wondering about the title of this post. About a month ago, I was trying to remember this song and the title. I don't even remember what got me thinking about it. I could remember the show it came from and how they always sang this song. But anyway, I finally remembered the name of the song and that same day I was at the Lifeway and I found a silly kid song cd and the song was listed on there. Just Crazy-Azy! So I leave you with the lyrics!

Skinnamarink

Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon.
I love you in the evening, underneath the moon.
Skinnamarinkydinkydink. Skinnamarinkydoo. I - Love - You!
Skinnamarinkydoo, I - Love - You -- Too!. (Boop, boop, ee-doo)

Yes I know....

I changed my template again. I went back to the one I had before last and played around with colors again. I liked having 3 columns however it just looked so smushed together and I couldn't get it to change much. But I like the way this one turned out. We didn't do to much this weekend. Friday night, Shawn met me at my dad's softball game. He had to work late and was in Hereford. We watched both of dad's games and then watched another one. Okay Shawn watched the other one. I was talking to this girl I went to highschool with. Saturday morning we cleaned the house and did laundry. Sounds so fun and interesting, I know! Then around 5ish we went to my mom's company picnic at Thompson Park. That was a lot of fun. After that we went to the Drive In with mom, dad, and Meghan. We watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Fantastic 4. I liked Charlie and the..., the second movie I pretty much slept through. Shawn said he liked it. That pretty much sums up our weekend.

Here are the poll results.
50% said you were best described as the otter. (very outgoing, enjoys people, humorous, and creative)
25%-said you were best described as the Golden Retriever. (loyal, sensitive, and encouraging.)
12%- said you were best described as the Lion.(strong, confident, leader, and likes to make sure things get done)
and another
12%- said you were best described as the Beaver.(detailed oriented, organized, follows instuctions, good with projects)

Thanks to everyone who voted! Be sure to vote on the new poll!

Once Again

I have a new Template. There isn't really much going on here. Congrats to my Aunt Ellen who had a baby boy! It looks like Shawn is going to Kansas tomorrow to work. It will be one long day for him. They are getting slammed left and right and it does not help that they are 2 people less than normal. Well that is about it! If you are looking for my pets I let them go off to cyberland. They always wanted to be free anyways! LOL who knows maybe I will adopt some other time! Don't forget to get your votes in on the quiz, by Friday!

WOW THE 100TH POST

That is just plain crazy-azy! I hope everyone's weekend was good. Ours was so-so. We worked in the backyard Saturday morning, then we went to my dad's softball game around 12:30, after that we went to Toysrus and got our dogs 2 of those plastic pools. They love them! They jump from one and in to the other. This lady at Toysrus said that they would just chew them up and not even attempt to get in. Shawn tried to tell her that most Labs love water, but she kept saying I had a lab and it would not go near water. That maybe the truth about her dog but not ours they definitely love the water. Mickey is the fun one to watch when he is trying to get in and out. Today the boys and I watched out the window and Minnie pick him up by his collar and pulled him in with her. They thought that was the funniest thing ever. Minnie will lay down in it or stand up and move her front legs as if she is swimming in really deep water. Umm... lets see... There isn't really much else to say or tell. Shawn and I started our new devotional on Friday. We finished our other one. I really like this book it is called Moments Together for couples by Dennis and Barbara Rainey. I think it is more interesting and deeper than the last one we did and Shawn agrees. Also this one will last us a year, the other one was only 90 days. Well that is really about all I have to say. I hope everyone has a great week. I don't know about you all but today seems to be dragging, hopefully the rest of the week will go by fast. I am already ready for the weekend.

New Poll

I have a new poll question. I think it is a pretty good poll question. If you would like you can leave comments on the poll and tell people what you identify with.

Thanks!

98th post

I think it is crazy azy that this is going to be my 98th post. I am so glad it is Friday. I am so ready to sleep in tomorrow. We really do not have a whole lot planned for this weekend. My dad is playing in a softball tournment this weekend, we will probably watch a couple of games. Our biggest thing this weekend is yard work. Fun Fun!! I am at my mom's house right now, waiting on the Meghan to get ready and the boys were watching the wiggles. It just ended and Josh brought the remote to me and started throwing a fit because I couldn't rewind it for them to watch them again. I tried to explain that I only have dvr at my house and Justin goes there is the remote just press the back button. And I said boys I can't, I am sorry. Then Justin said this tv is not very fair is it? I just told him that every tv and home settings are different. I was just shocked that they both acted like that, because they don't have that at their house either. Well Meghan is ready.

Good Morning

First I have to say Happy Birthday to my dad! So "Happy Birthday Dad!" Yesterday was a pretty cool day. Shawn and I had fun driving to Colorado to pick up my brother. We left somewhere between 5:30 and 6:00 yesterday morning and we got back to Amarillo around 6:45. We got to see my brother's apartment. He has a reallly nice apartment. Ryan pretty much slept the whole way back. I don't blame him though, seeing how he had just gotten off work from working all night long. I read Lori Wick's new book and then started another book on the way back. I don't remember the name but it has like 4 different stories in it. The first story was a good one. Well that is pretty much it for now. Guess what? Tomorrow is Friday!!

?????

So what do you think of all the new cool things I have added? Now I won't even be bored reading my site. LoL. Okay so I am feeling really bad right now and Daisy the duck should be taken away from me. Did any of you know that if you click on the more, it will give you a piece of bread to feed her? I did not know that until just now, so she has starved, well unless you all knew and were feeding her for me. If you did thanks. I promise we do feed Mickey and Minnie and boy do they eat!

What-A-Day!!

There isn't a whole lot really to say. I am exhausted. This morning Meghan joined the boys and I on a trip to the zoo. We were there from 9:30 to 11 something. We had a great time for the most part. They boys seemed to have a blast and get rid of lots of energy. On the way home both boys were sound asleep. I figured once we got home that they would wake back up. But they didn't. They slept until 2:00 so that was nice. Then when they got up, we had lunch, played outside, came inside to play with lego's, and then their Alisha arrived and off they went. I am thinking about going to mom and dad's and jumping the pool as soon as Shawn gets home. Tomorrow Shawn and I are taking a day trip to Colorado to pick up my brother. His truck is broken down. I know how that feels, well not to be stuck in another state, but the feeling of not having a vehicle. I do have pictures of Meghan's room. I will go a head and post them on her blog, since they are of her room. As you probably already noticed, I have put new colors on my blog. I was getting bored with the other ones, but didn't feel like changing to a whole new template, so I just changed colors. I also added some links. Well Shawn is home and he is watching punked so I think I am going to go join him.

Krystal Meyers "The Way To Begin"

You can also hear "The Way To Begin" by going to this link http://www.air1.com/music/chart/ And scroll down until you see Krystal Meyers. Just click on the music note and let it load. I think she is number 18 or 19. Here are the lyrics to that song.

Dear God
It’s me again down here
I don’t want to sound insincere
I’m Lost
Some times You’re so unclear
What can I do
I’m feeling so far from You
Frustrated, Irritated
Disconnected from it all
The weight of the world
Has pushed me to the wall
I surrender, To You I’m giving in
Come take me, Save me
I want to start again
I’ll open my broken heart
Cause I’ve reached the end
And You’re the way to begin

I’ve seen a million empty smiles
Living in denial
I don’t want to live like that
Where nothing is real
I hate how it is to feel
Frustrated, Irritated
Disconnected from it all
I’m breaking, I’m aching for something beautiful

All the riches in this world
Couldn’t fill this great big hole
It takes something so much more
Only You can take me, You can make me whole
It’s not the end, this is only the beginning
It’s not the end, It’s not the end

Pretty Good Day

Lastnight, Shawn came home to tell me that he had to work today. :( It was only suppose to take 3 hrs which turned into nine hours. Why? You ask. Is because the elevators at Holiday Inn Express' elevators were not up and running. So Shawn and his co worker had to carry each ice machine to their floors and then install them. That was only the first problem from then on. Needless, to say he had one long and hard day today. So while he was working, I stayed at home and did some laundry and talked to Lacy on the phone for about an hour. Then around 1:30 I headed over to my parents house to take a look at Meghan's bedroom, which I have to say is awesome. I will try to remember to take the camera over there tomorrow and get pictures. The only thing that is missing is the curtain that is on order. Mom made blt's for lunch and they were yummy. We also played a game of wahoo which I won. Well with mom's help, she ended up finishing the game with me. Then around 4 ish I headed back home to do some more laundry. Then Shawn probably came home around 5:30ish. And we ate chicken nuggets and ff for dinner. I really didn't feel like cooking and I just put that in the oven and tada it was done. We also watched The pacifier. That is a good, clean, and funny movie. If you can believe it no swear words or at least if there was I didn't notice it. Lacy showed up at the end of that movie and then we watched Ms. Congeniality 2, it was okay. I don't think it was better than the first movie. Lacy and I were rather annoyed with her through the first half of the movie. Then I was going to mow the grass and while I was standing there visiting with Lacy, my wonderful husband decided to go a head and do it. :) So Lacy and I went to sonic and brought him back a cherry limeade. We also got a jr. Banana split. Those things are very small! But it was yummy and the perfect snack size. Lets see what else.... hmm.. There is not much else to say about my day. I don't know if I have put this on here before or not. But a couple weeks ago I got Krystal Meyers CD. It is awesome. I loved her song on AIR 1 called "The Way To Begin". Anyway, I know on her website you can hear parts of every song on her CD. My favorite song on the CD is number 2 called "My savior" and I also like "Lovely Traces" and okay I guess I pretty much love the whole cd. :) To hear a part of it just go to www.krystalmeyers.com click on music then click on the picture of her album then just click on whatever song you want to hear. Anyway thats it. I guess what got my mind on it was that I just let Lacy borrow the CD. And we also listened to it on the way to Sonic. Well hope everyone is enjoying there weekend.

Happy Friday!!

Wow, this week has gone by super fast. I went and seen Meghan's room yesterday, it looked awesome well except for the blue tape that was still up from painting the stripes on the one wall. Lastnight Shawn and I went out to Nanny and Paw Paw's where we played spades. The girls won 3 out of the 4 games. That was pretty cool. Anyway, we have no major plans for this weekend. Shawn is actually not on call which will be nice. This afternoon I am suppose to go see Autumn and Reagan, maybe I can get some pictures of the two. If you could keep Autumn in your prayers right now, she isn't healing to well from the c-section. Well I don't have much else to say. Have a great weekend everyone!!

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July. I know we did! We were for the most part busy working at the firework stand on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then we would go and hang out at my mom and dad's house. It was nice to see my brother while he was here. We did not go to the lake, because that was too much driving for Ryan since he had to cut his weekend short and get back to CO. Saturday was a fun day, I went shopping with Meghan and Mom, for Meghan's new bedding and paint to re do her room. It is going to be pink and green. They started painting yesterday afternoon. I helped tape, but was not able to paint, because I had to go give a survey to parents and their children. That was fun too. Anyway, I think the room is going to be awesome and fit Megs personality to a T. So anyway, back to the weekend. After that I went to the firework stand and picked Shawn up and we went and jumped in to mom and dad's pool. That was really nice. We did the same thing Sunday afternoon. Monday morning Shawn was called out to Pampa on a service call. When he got back, Meghan, mom, dad, Shawn and I all went to Canyon for their 4th of July on the Square. Then we went back to mom and dad's house to eat dinner, plus I had to run to the firework stand and get a few things out of my car. It was nice because when I got back the food was ready. After we finished eating we went to South West Park or John Stiff whatever you want to call it for the firework show. There were lots of people out there and it was a nice set up. Guess what I ate while we were there? A fried Snickers. It was awesome, but I don't think it is one of those things you can have everyday or weekly. I don't think I would want to. One was enough for me. It was dipped in funnel cake batter and then fried. Yum Yum and probably +5 lbs. LOL! Well that is about it for now. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!
