sorry its been awhile

Shawn's sister was able to stay a few more days since her husband decided to come up. Which was really nice because I have been off and Shawn was off Monday and Tuesday also. We pretty much have spent all of our time in amarillo with them. Yesterday afternoon I spent the day at my mom's house hanging out with my sis. Tuesday we took Rylee back to the waterpark and her dad was able to go this time. It was fun. I think I am just worn out from not sleeping in my bed. It was nice lastnight to be sleeping back in my bed. I never did go and get my hair done on Friday. I ended up going to the waterpark with the boys and Rylee. So today at 6:00 it is back to work for me. I work today and tomorrow and then I am off again until Wednesday. My boss was trying to call me in the last 3 days but I kept telling him no. Anyway, so other than that much else hasn't been going on. Hope all is well with all of you. Oh I got all of my school stuff straightned out.

So I kind of think his headline name says it all he is a piece of it or maybe a whole pile!! I think he finally got the hint b/c he hasn't replied since then!!! I should have told him to take some typing classes too! Anyway that really erked me, if anyone ever asked him why he cheated or cheats on his wife his reply will probably be because of myspace because anymore thats what is getting the blame not the kids that are on it making their own desicions, not the parents that ALLOW thier kids to have a myspace, or even adults that get their own myspace. But if something goes wrong look where the blame falls. Okay enough of that!

So ya....

Sunday night didn't go the way I was hoping it would go. I don't have GSM on my name tag yet so apparently that means I don't get the respect of one? I dunnoo... she is driving me crazy~ Anyway, I ended up getting called in to work tonight. Which wouldn't be to bad, but my sil came to town. If I would have known at 10 this morning I probably would have said no. Shawn and I are both off on Wednesday but in the morning we will be at AC and then that afternoon and probably all afternoon we will be at WT. Which I know that leaves dinner and maybe we can stay at my parents house or at least me, Wednesday night since Shawn doesn't have to work Thursday and I don't have to be at work till 5pm. So that should give us sometime to spend with her and the kiddo's but, I guess we shall see. I am off on friday, but I have already made plans for the afternoon and that night with a friend here and I cancelled on her last Friday and I am not going to do it again. That afternoon I am going to go get my first low lights done. I am praying that turns out looking good. Then I have to work Friday-Monday night and I am not off again until next Tuesday. I guess that is what happens when people go on vacation. Shawn is working this weekend. He got called in to work last Saturday... which I am not complaining because it is more money.

What happened? I got home from work and was checking to see if I had any new comments and all I saw was html so I picked this as a new template.... maybe I will have time to fix it tomorrow? Anywho.... I get to start training a new girl tomorrow, so it should be interesting since, I am working on something, I have never done before!!! Okay so I am going to vent..... so last week we had two new people start. One of the new girls got written up yesterday because her till (sp?) was over 2.00 short. You try to show her how to do something and she acts like she knows how to do it. I am sure it is hard to have people older than you be your manager but you really shouldn't start a job with an attitude and get mad when someone shows you the right way to do things!! Like today, the GSM told me to do her audit, no biggie right? Well the girl forgot to write her bag # on her paper. I told her and she huffed and puffed the two steps in to the office and then shoved the paper in my face, while I was checking customers out. So this time she came out a 1.00 over and I told her to recount her drawer and make sure it was at a 100 and she goes I don't want to and I was suppose to leave 2 minutes ago. I said no you can't clock out until you recount your drawer, just to make sure it is at 100.00, she then said I am not stupid and it is at a 100, well I had a line so I just said RECOUNT IT! The rule is when ever you are over or short you always recount your till, not like it is that hard! Then I went and checked people out and she just clocked out and left. The GSM came up to the front to see how she did and I explained what happened. She called the store manager. So I am not sure what is going to happen. Yesterday she apparently told him she didn't need to be treated like a baby??? How she thought she was being treated like a baby I don't know. But I really hope she changes her attitude seeing how it is just me and her closing on Sunday. The GSM told me if she acts like that write her up on Sunday..... but my first actual night with my own codes, with out another GSM there writting someone up is not exactly what I want to do!! Anyway, I can only pray things change between now and then!

Okay so last summer I found myself totally hooked on big brother 6. Recently Big Brother 7 also known as all stars has just recently started. I find myself the same way! Oh WoW what a night!!!

So tonight was my first closing with out any help, except for the gsm to punch in his passwords so I could close the store. Well first off let me just say that today we did almost 3 times the normal sales for a Sunday evening. There were 3 people on the clock until 8 and we had been pretty busy all evening. The store was straigtned and we figured like normal we would die down, especially since it was storming outside. Nope, business picked up like crazy!!! At 9:45 all of the other employees were coming in for the store meeting. They were clocking in and crowding the front just standing their talking. Driving me insane. Besides that the guy I was working with was coming up short in his drawer. And I knew that if he was short again he would be terminated. So I kind of freaked out for him along with trying to take care of last minute customers. It was just really crazy. Finally I turned around at like 10:15, I was feeling very overwhelmed, over crowded, and we hadn't even started closing procedures that I said grab the rentals and put them out and start straightning the store! Okay I know I didn't it say it very nicely but the manager had already asked them to spread out and help. Well you know the one girl that kind of despises me well she pops off and says look who is already practicing being a gsm. Well my friend and fav. person I like working with looked at her and said well she has to start sometime. Then my fav. person told me to take a deep breath and just finish checking people out. That kind of helped things out. Then the guy I was working with found out where he messed up at. So that helped things. But I still had to do the like office closing stuff such as counting the money for the whole day, the safe, and a bunch of paperwork. And they were starting the meeting and it turns out the manager decided to do Employee star of the month and so we had to nominate someone. So I was able to get all of my stuff done and then join in on the meeting. I am proud to say that even feeling very overwhelmed I did everything correctly for my first closing. So after I filled out my nomination sheet and turned it in. Everyone started getting their pizza. Then that is when the manager checked store sales for the day and goes oh yall have been very busy tonight. So then he did the nominations and I was nominated by 4 people out of the 10 other people not including the manager. I was really not expecting that!!! And plus on all 5 of my customers he sent in, I was the only one that got 10's on their evaluation forms! So I am employee star of the month. You know that really made you know who mad! Anyway it is a 10 dollar gift card for employee star and then it is another 10 gift card for getting all 10's! I am just glad I am off tomorrow. The only real thing I have to complain about is that I found out I was permanet closer on Sunday nights! But I talked with my manager and he said he will give me one Sunday a month, or 2 if it is a 5 week month.
Nothing really going on with my life outside of work. Oh I got my hair cut on Saturday. It is to my shoulders layered. And I got tips on how to get it healthy again since when the stupid lady dyed it, it pretty much ruined my healthy hair. But I love love love my hair now just wish it was super healthy again. Puts me in a better mood when I am getting ready for the day.
Shawn has been on his own for a couple of weeks and he is loving it. I think my parents and my little sis are coming up tomorrow. I am excited, the last time I saw them it was for a short time because I picked my mom up for work and once we got back to their house they left for Iowa. Anyway, I am going to bed.

how's July 16th sound?

That is the day I will officially become GSM!! Kind of surprised! Go figure, we need rain and it wants to arrive on July 4th! ha ha ha.... tomorrow and thursday it isn't suppose to get out of the 70's or at least that is what they are saying.
