Awesome Surprise...
Last night, when I arrived home I had a package of those goodies waiting for me! Don't worry Shawn picked out what candy bars he wanted. I love all of it!! The ghost and pumpkin (it is hard to see) are bath gels! I have already found places for the two ornaments. Aren't they cute!!! Thank you Twila! If you were trying to make up for the torture I have been going through with Babylon 5, you have succeeded!!! :)

I'm telling on you!
Ha…. Do you ever say that? I always tell Shawn that (jokingly of course)! LOL sorry I just said it to him (hints the title). Dear parent in laws of mine, please do me a favor and never ever send a whole TV and movie series home with your son. Do you know what has been on the TV since we got back from camping???? I really didn’t care for Babylon 5 before you let him borrow it, how do you think I feel about it now?? LOL I know I will survive… I am thankful we have another TV in the house!!
Anyway, so what do you think of the new look? I love blog layout packages. They save me time, when I want something new, but don’t have the creative juices flowing. Here are the places, I know of that sells them. If you know of anymore, tell me so I can add them to my list. Also if you have any coding type questions, email me or leave me a comment and I will try to answer.
I got this one from Shabby Miss Jenn Designs. There is 31 different designs to choose from. The ones I have looked at have two to three backgrounds included in each one. There is a video tutorial that helps you install and put together your layout. This is the first time I have purchased one from this site. They are normally $6.99, but you can usually find a couple on sale.
The Shabby Shoppe has a variety of BLOGwear to choose from, which includes a header and buttons. Single ones are $2.50, but they have collections that have 4 different designs for $9.95. There is also just a blog banner for 2.50 and a collection for 9.95. I have purchased two of their collections.
Sweet Shoppe Designs just recently added a Blog Design section to their store. They have six to choose from so far and they also include background. They are $5.49 each. You can also have them install it for 30.00. I haven’t bought a blog in a box, but I am sure I will in the future.
If you want a new design, don’t want to do it yourself, or want something different, my bloggy friend Brandy can make you a customized blog design.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Don’t forget to vote in the polls!
A few links are missing… I am trying to search and get the urls for them….

Oh ya, THIS BLOG IS UNDERCONSTRUCTION!!! Oh the things that make me smile J
Wow a Friday Fill in
1. There is no need to make a mess.
2. Where in the heck did the dog go.
3. Keeping my cool is all I managed to do.
4. Prospects for my future look great.
5. Love is the message.
6. Simplicity and tranquility are what we long for at times.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to feeling better, tomorrow my plans include seeing some great friends and Sunday, I want to go to church and get things ready for the upcoming week!
I decided not to delete my blog or myspace. Shawn deleted his just because he doesn’t really get on it and the few people he talked to on it, he emails. I made a list and on the negative side everything could just go under one category and that is fear. Fear of this or that… and I refuse to live my life in fear, besides that we aren’t suppose to. I remembered that I had saved a devotional on Fear in my favorites. So I went to my favorites to see if it was still there (I really need to go through and organize my favorites) it took me about 20 minutes but I found it! I encourage you all to go and read “No Need to Fear”.
Things are getting better around here. People we don’t even know have walked up to us and told Shawn that they know that isn’t the truth and that they are praying about the situation (there isn’t one anymore, other than the rumor, lie, whatever you want to call it being passed on and exaggerated). The past couple of days we have heard more positives than negatives.
Has anyone else’s computer been attacked by the Anti Virus XP 2008 virus thing? It took Shawn and I all day and this morning to finally locate all of the files and get it off. Talk about frustrating, but it is finally gone! We have Norton and Ad-aware. Norton couldn’t even load for the longest and then Ad-aware would find the Trojan and say it had taken it off, then it continued with the scan to find the other files, and right in the middle it would freeze. It got enough off that Norton finally loaded and took the rest off and then I finally found what it was stored under and got it off. I am just glad it is fixed!
Some friends of ours are still in town from Hurricane Ike so we are going to go see them tomorrow. It should be a fun weekend! Shawn survived his first two nights on nights! He loves working nights. So far I haven’t had any problems going to sleep other than taking a nap yesterday afternoon. That was a bad bad idea… I didn’t go to sleep until sometime after 2 . Anyway, hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

To delete or not delete
I am thinking about deleting this blog along with my myspace. Nothing has happened that has to do with this blog or with mine or Shawn’s MySpace’s. But we do live in a small town and our careers have to do with the public…his more so than mine will. At my last job, I learned just how fast word can get around town. Do you think what I heard as a cashier was always the truth? Nope… people will always talk whether it is the truth or not. It is sad what people do to damage another person’s character. I do not ever plan on doing that on this blog, but I do know that I expose quite a bit about our lives and upcoming events…that gives ammo to others. I love reading blogs and love having new blog readers. I have thought about going private…but just not sure. I am going to pray about it some more. Hope all of you are having great weeks! We are half way to the weekend!!!

Progress...
We have the bunk bed up, my closet is cleaned out and organized, the toys have been sorted, and you can see the floor. All that is left in that room to do is find some coordinating bedding (eventually) and shelves for my frogs, princess stuff, and pictures. Oh by the way, thanks mom for the idea to put all of my flip-flops in a basket and my flats in another basket! I might even take you out for lunch tomorrow! J
Our front room is starting to come together again. Shawn’s police stuff is up. I found it all at hobby lobby for half off and usually you can’t find it anywhere. Eventually (when we buy a house) it will move to whatever room is the “office” but for now, this room is basically our office. During the school year you can find my bin of supplies out, our books, and other stuff school related (like index cards) in this room. The only time we actually use our front door and not the side door is during the summer or when we have company. I would like to find a corner shelf for this room and get a shadow box type frame for all of the patches Shawn has. I know it might sound cheesy to some, but it is what he likes and has been wanting…
Laundry room- clothes to be done and the queen bed that is going to mom’s house.
Kitchen/living area… ready for fall decorations
Our bedroom- needs dusting
Bathrooms- still need to be cleaned
So now I am off to finish getting this room together and then it is time to decorate for fall! J
Awake now!
Last night I crashed somewhere between 7:30 and 8. I woke up feeling refreshed around 7:30 this morning. I know they say that you can never really catch up on sleep, but I feel like I just did! Now, I am just waiting on Shawn to get up (don’t worry I am not going to wake him up) and go get the bin of our fall/Halloween stuff out of the garage. I love decorating for the different seasons! But, before we do that, we have to put our house completely back together. Remember this? Oh this time it is so much worse!
You see, a week or two ago, I decided to get rid of the computer desk that we had, Shawn’s parent’s were coming up for the weekend, and I knew that his sister wanted it. This all started because Shawn came home and told me that this friend of his was wanting to get rid of their desk (I really liked it and we were going to pay something towards it). That same weekend (okay so it was a week ago from this past weekend, so almost 2 weeks ago. You still with me? J) Megs was moving into her house. We had a TV and couch for her. Then we got a call that the people decided to keep their computer desk… um okay, what now? Shawn and I decided that we didn’t like having a TV in our front room during the school year, because stuff just doesn’t get done, and it helps us out even more with procrastination. So the TV that was in here (our front room/computer room) went to our bedroom and Megs’ TV got upgraded to the one that was in our bedroom. You still with me?
The stand/thing the TV was on in here, is now our temporary desk, but I like it. I mean it is kind of obvious, that it isn’t exactly a desk, but it is a the right height, and works great for right now and it matches the other furniture (one end table) in the room. Maybe I will take a picture of it, but that means you can’t make fun of me! Okay so back to putting the house back together… when Shawn and Hays were loading up the Couch and Computer Desk they knocked over this movie stand and out came all of the dvds. This stand was something I got for like 5 dollars maybe less when I worked at Hastings. It didn’t hold all of our movies, but it worked for most of our favorites. The others were still boxed (2 boxes). So then the light bulb goes off (bad bad thing) why don’t we just move the book shelf that is in the middle bedroom in here and it will store all of our movies. So we take all of the books (mostly school stuff) off of it and move it to the kitchen/living area. All of the stuff that was on it, is now stacked in the middle bedroom. Oh did I forget to mention that I had already started to go through toys in that room so I had a few piles of keep, get rid of, and undecided. As of right now there is a path to the closet and that is it. And to add to everything we are switching beds with my parents. We picked up the bunk beds yesterday and they are now in our laundry room.
The main living areas of the house are together, but my table is still full of stuff from the old computer desk (decorative type things) that need new homes. I just can’t handle the chaos anymore, and that is why today is the day it is going to get done! I was going to start on it last night, but Shawn told me there was no point. I noticed that he did get all of the camping stuff taken out and put up!
Shawn works this weekend and we are still waiting to find out if he is changing shifts and if so is he staying on B shift or moving to A and nights or days. I think I have heard just about every possibility now. I really wish that they would do this switcharoo in the January Shift changes, because most of the wives, I have talked to are also like me and figure out weekends off from the beginning of the year to plan for everything else. By the way the switch date is the 17th which is this upcoming Wednesday. I do realize they are trying to get budgeting done (it starts over in Oct.) but I think that should be even more a reason to wait until January…but I guess they aren’t asking me, are they.
As for my weekend plans… Tomorrow I have a seminar for school and then after that I was hoping to spend some time with Megs and Lacy. Saturday… I am going to get my final done for Math Methods…so I can present it and get it over with, and then work on my literacy circle activities. Then I am hoping to catch up on blogs, phone calls to friends, and making birthday cards.
Oh real quick… besides hobby lobby does anyone know where I can buy shelves at? I looked at Wal-Mart the other night, but they didn’t have any. Hobby Lobby only had the huge ones left (they were 50% off). I just want a few small ones for the middle bedroom to put my frogs and pictures on.
Oh by the way, today is my brother's 22nd Birthday! Happy Birthday Ryan! (not sure he has ever read my blog)

Exhausted
That is the word that describes me tonight. The last couple of weeks have been crazy with school and will get crazier in the upcoming weeks. Shawn and I went camping with his family over the weekend. We had an awesome time! We arrived before they did, set everything up, and then went into town to get our grocery items. They met us as we were walking out of the store. While we were in the store, the clouds started to build. When we arrived at our camp site(s), it started to rain, so the 6 kids, Nyki and I went and played in our tent, while the rest of them got soaked putting up three tents. I would take playing made up off the top of my head games and singing with kids any day over setting up tents in the rain. Saturday, we surprised almost everyone with an everyone birthday party since Shawn and I have missed out on all of the parties so far this year. They loved it! It was definitely a fun and relaxing weekend. I didn’t charge my camera so you guessed it no pictures…but I am okay with it, because I didn’t look my best for pictures anyway. LOL
Monday morning I woke up getting sick with a migraine. I could barely see out of my left eye. I do not remember the last time, I lost sight in that eye with a migraine. I felt awful all day yesterday and then I think today I was just air heady just because of all the medication. Today I had M for the day. We went to Atown, dropped off jewelry to my mom at work, and then headed to Mr. Gattis to meet Megs for lunch and games. Today was double your tokens day. M was three shy of 600 tickets… she walked out big. After that, we headed to Hobby Lobby. Everything I purchased was 50% off. I love sales! I got something for each of the upcoming holidays/seasons. I also got a couple of things for Megs. After that we went to Cold Stone Creamery for a snack. Then Megs had to head to work, so M and I made a trip to Wal-Mart and then headed home. This evening I have gotten a few things ready for tomorrow, did a load of towels, and picked out what I am wearing tomorrow. Oh Shawn and I went to Wal-Mart to price something and get this we walked out without spending anything! That rarely happens… Anyway, I am exhausted and I have a full day ahead of me tomorrow.
Hope you all are having a great week! I am hoping to catch up on blogs and commenting this weekend.
