Bummed

So my Jewelry party wasn’t a complete bust, but I had only 3 people show up including my mom. I sent out several invitations. I didn’t realize a month ago when I scheduled it, that it would be meet the teacher night. Such is life I guess. I can’t say that it was a horrible party, because I did earn free pieces. I was just hoping to hit it big, like I did last year. But hey, I am happy and grateful that I earned what I did.

Tomorrow is the last day I watch kids. For most of them, I am relieved to be done with it, for two it is going to be hard.  I think am going to miss them (or at least one of them) as much as they miss me. We are going to have fun tomorrow though. It works out where the other kids I watch tomorrow will leave at 2, so it will just be M & B, and I want to make it a fun afternoon for both of them. I am praying that there are no tears, or at least until they leave. I realize that to some this might sound weird, but there are a few people out there, that know the situation and understand why it is so hard.

Anyway, I am headed to bed it is after 12:30.

Oh ya, I totally forgot about this, Shawn and I were helping the jewelry lady load up the stuff, when all of the sudden our porch light goes out. Then I look in the window and see all of the lights are out. The lady next door comes out and asks if our electricity went out, Shawn said yes. Our whole block and the street behind us were with out power for 45 minutes. I am just thankful it was after the party. They are still out there working on it. Copper is barking his head off along with the other dogs. The pole thingy is right behind our house.

Ugh

Schedule changes. They are not the end of the world, but they definitely shake things up. I can say that it isn’t all that bad, just for the stuff that is already planned and marked down.  Such is life!

Not finished yet...

I still have some work to do. But other than that, what do you think? I am not sure when I will be able to work on it again. Our Pastor is coming over tomorrow evening and then Thursday night I have a jewelry party! By the way if you can’t make it but still want to see the catalog or order let me know! J I can say that I slept peacefully last night. No crazy dreams and hopefully none tonight!

Hope you all have a great week!! J

Just Craziness, I tell ya!

I have been having some really and I mean really strange dreams, lately. The only similarities between them all, is that they are:

a)      Scary

b)      Crazy

c)      Both a and b

The first one was a couple weeks ago and it involved the neighbor kids stabbing and killing a detective in front of my house, I ended up locking myself in Shawn’s bathroom, until he arrived and coaxed me out of there. I woke up and my heart was racing and pounding like crazy. At first I thought this dream was because I had caught the kids across the street before they toilet papered Shawn’s patrol car and that I had just waken up from a deep sleep to go back to sleep for a few minutes. Now I have no idea what to think…I am working on forgetting it, but it isn’t happening right now.

The next one was me stuck in a room full of Birds. Birds can really freak me out especially if there are hundreds/thousands of them sitting on the telephone and electric lines outside. The birds never attacked me, some circled around over my head, and others landed on me, but did no harm. That was just weird and crazy. I woke up going, “What in the world?”

Then there is the third one… I had this one a week ago from Friday. Shawn, his parents, my parents, and I were about to find out the sex of our baby… the doctor asked Shawn and I if we were ready to find out what they were… I said yes thinking you mean what it is.  So he starts with Baby A is a girl (what? Baby A??) Baby B is a boy (what is going on?) and then the final one Baby c- girl. So here I am freaking out and telling Shawn we are not ready for this and that we only have one crib and him along with our parents are telling me that we have been buying for 3 this whole time. I kept saying no we don’t we only have one crib, and Shawn would say, no babe we have 3 and my mom and Twila were explaining to me that I had already gotten so many things x3 and would get even more come the shower.

I have no idea what to think about this dream… I did wake up to my heart racing. I like to be in control of things in my life. I don’t think I had control over anything above.

The fourth, I was walking/running alone at the track here in town. Something I have done in the past when Shawn was working nights. So there I am running, when all of the sudden I fall because of my knee. I can’t get up, can’t really move, my cell phone is in the car, no one else is there, and then it begins to poor down rain. I start to freeze and I am screaming for help and trying to crawl across the football field. I pass out and later wake up in the ER. Then I really woke up. My knee (that I tore my acl on) bothered me all day on Tuesday. Maybe that isn’t scary to some, but it was terrifying to me.

The fifth one, it is somewhat of a common one here and now dream. I don’t want to go in to much detail, other than it involves loved ones, a huge argument, and usually severed ties at the end. This one I ended up running someone over, and it was a person I couldn’t ever see doing that too. Not that I ever plan to run someone over or have even thought about it. Once again woke up with my heart racing.

Then there is last night’s dream. I was walking Minnie when this pack (?) of dogs began to follow us. Then they started growling and coming after us. Even though I was running, Minnie broke free of the leash and went back. She fought with them all and ended up dying. Then authorities start to arrive along with the other dog owners and some how the whole thing turned into my fault. This morning, I woke up with tears and my heart racing.

Anyway, I just these horrible and terrifying dreams to stop. This is too many nightmares in a short amount of time. I am a little nervous about the next too semesters. I think my worries and questions are similar with most people in my position… am I going to survive the next two semesters, will I pass the tests, and will I have a job when I graduate. But, then again I could be wrong. Anyway, I need to go get in the shower and get ready for church.

So so true

The Real Me by Natalie Grant

Foolish heart looks like we're here again
Same old game of plastic smile
Don't let anybody in
Hiding my heartache, will this glass house break
How much will they take before I'm empty
Do I let it show, does anybody know?

But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me

Painted on, life is behind a mask
Self-inflicted circus clown
I'm tired of the song and dance
Living a Charade, always on parade
What a mess I've made of my existence
But you love me even now
And still I see somehow

But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me

Wonderful, beautiful is what you see
When you look at me
You're turning the tattered fabric of my life into
A perfect tapestry
I just wanna be me

But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me

And you love me just as I am
Wonderful, Beautiful is what you see
When you look at me

Quick post

It is time for an update. I am doing much better. Last week with the Crosby’s was a blast. We had a great weekend. Hiscousin graduated from WT. He stayed at his grandparents since his parents were staying there. I stayed at my parent’s house, so I was back in forth. Saturday evening my parents and I, went and watched Raquel sing. A couple of friends met us up there. She did an awesome job, but didn’t win. I still think she should have won J.  I had a great time. It definitely lifted my spirits. Anyway, it was busy weekend, but a great one! Sadly, I didn’t get pictures. Shawn got a few of his cousin, but that was about it.

Ya..so...um....

I can’t explain it, but I feel like I am in a slump. Is that even a word? I got to thinking and I have an idea or at least one reason that I think I am here. I haven’t spent any time with my closest friends this summer. Don’t get me wrong I have talked to them on the phone, but that is all. I have had a pretty busy summer with trips and different things with family, but no friends. I think every once in a while a person needs a break from their spouse and just some girl time. On top of that I am trying to figure out priorities. See,  I listen to what everyone around me says and I understand where they are coming from, but really lets face it, I don’t think anyone’s “priorities” are the same.

Anyway, I am in a funk… like so bad that Shawn has done the dishes and fixed supper every night this week. That normally just doesn’t happen. Is it a bad thing that he did? Not necessarily. It’s like I say oh I just don’t care…but the funny thing about that is… I do care because I am much more irritated with little stuff and even more with the bigger stuff. Then who is the person around that gets the brunt of it all… my husband. I have to say though…he has been pretty great.

I really just want to say to everyone forget it …I am out of here for a few days… see ya later. Where would I go? I have no clue. Could I afford to go some where? Not really. Would it actually help anything? Maybe, but in the end probably not. I guess the thing with my closest friends… is, I can smile all day long or act happy on the phone, but they are quick to realize that not everything is hunky dory in Tasha’s life. I just don’t know anymore. I do know that I am the type of person that keeps taking and taking and when it all comes to a head…watch out. PMS doesn’t help with the issue at all, so it will be an interesting week that is for sure. I am just praying that I can control my tongue and my eye rolls on top of everything. Also, one of the couples we haven’t gotten close to is moving out of town. I know that they both have family here, so we will still see them here and there, but it still bums me out.

I have absolutely no clue if this even makes since. I had a reader email me about updating my blog. So it’s my blog and these are the crazy thoughts and what’s pretty much been going on. On a positive note, I am super excited that Shawn’s sister, Britt, her husband, and kids will be here some time tonight and leave Tuesday evening. I think they are going to the water park on Tuesday again. It depends on how many kids I have, on whether or not I am going. I also booked a jewelry party for August 21st. I am excited. The last one I had with this promotion I got 13 pieces of free jewelry. I have been waiting on this promotion to roll around again!  School starts August 25th. I am ready for it… 2 semesters and one summer session left.

Anyway, hope everything is better your way, and that you all have a great week!
