Too fast

This weekend flew by. Yesterday when we were arriving to town it seemed as if we just left. Surprisingly no one was sunburned! We set up camp Friday afternoon, headed to walmart for groceries and ice, got back, changed into our suits, and into the lake we went. (All of the bins made it in the tent) Friday night/early Saturday morning we had horrible thunderstorms. We know that lightning hit the ground somewhere it shook the ground and then there was a big boom that hurt both mine and Shawn's ears. Megs kept snoozing right through it. I have no idea how she did it!

Saturday, we played volleyball, swam, ate, read (okay I read), and played cards. Minnie loved the water the only problem was is she really didn't know how to use her back legs to swim. It was funny, she was fine until we went out were she couldn't touch so she would stand up on her hind legs and doggy paddle with her front legs. We taught her how to swim, and she would do great going from the deep towards the shore, but it was like she forgot when it was the other way around. We took a tie down and tied her to a tree to where she could play in the water or sit on the beach. That way we could go swim in a deeper area and not worry about her. You know what she did the whole time... if you have met her then you can guess... She whined and yelped the whole time she was on that thing. Eventually she broke a branch. So we found a new tree. Meghan got video of her. Not sure if I loaded it right...

Saturday night we went to a town that was 10 minutes away and watched fireworks.

Sunday we swam, packed up, and headed home.

Oh this guy, okay log(s) was right behind our campsite.
Isn't it cool looking... Megs & I named him Mr. Toad... just because we are corny like that :)

There were hundreds okay maybe even thousands of tiny frogs or toads (not sure which), every where you walked... I zoomed in and got a few in this picture. Megs caught them... she even kissed one and no it did not turn into a prince!

We never saw any bigger than the ones in the first picture.

And this is how Shawn and I found Megs several times.
In case, you can't tell she is searching for signal to send a text message. She is also standing on top of the picnic table.

Hi! Thanks for the comment on my blog--we don't buy Wal-Mart meat either. I am just so irritated at the way that store handles food. Love your blog design! :)
Have a great day!
